Teams
When I work with athletic teams I stress themes of interconnectedness, selflessness, presence, effort, gratitude and integrity. I stress a mindfulness based approach so that teams can learn together to stay focused on the present moment, letting go of inevitable mistakes, while not becoming fixated on future outcomes to the detriment of real time performance.
Coaches
Most coaches receive little or no formal training, yet are tasked with an enormous responsibility and opportunity. Coaches change lives. As a young coach myself, I forced myself to study the masters like John Wooden, Mike Krzyzewski, Bill Walsh, and Phil Jackson, and read dozens of books on the art and science of coaching. I am lucky to have been raised in an environment of coaching and as the son of a highly successful championship level coach. I love passing on what I have learned to younger coaches.

“I started using the reset system freshman year and still use it now. It really helped my mental game on and off the field. It’s simple but effective.”
-Logan Wisnauskas, 2022 Teewarton Award winner as the nation’s best men’s college lacrosse player. Logan led the University of Maryland to an 18-0 season and an NCAA Championship.

Athletes
I often remind athletes that they are so very lucky. I believe that sport is the perfect crucible through which to grow in ways that are just not possible otherwise. My work with athletes is rich with mindfulness training, which helps them to train their focus, manage their emotions and channel their energy in training and competition. I love to help athletes be their best on and off the field of play.
“I give all the credit in the world to Coach Bidstrup for the reset bracelet and advice about approaching the team as a leader. I think that he played an essential role in our championship.”
